NCH News: Our September Update 🌟

Music and smiles at NCH’s Fundraising Night.

Weston Methodist Church was filled with laughter, music, and generosity on Friday,

4th September, as Newbridge and Weston gathered for a memorable fundraising

evening.

At Newbridge Community Hub we are thrilled to announce that the event

raised over £6,500 to support our ongoing campaign to keep the church building for

the long term, for use by the whole of our community.

Over 80 people joined us for the festivities, and there were smiling faces

everywhere. The strong turnout highlighted the deep sense of connection and

support that defines the Newbridge community and its desire to maintain the building

for everyone to use.

For many, the highlight of the evening was taking to the floor, thanks to the dance

band Junction 18. Their lively popular covers kept us moving, creating a wonderful

atmosphere of optimism.

In addition to the music, the evening featured a silent online charity auction. Bidders

showed their enthusiasm and generosity competing for over 55 prizes, donated by

Bath businesses and individuals. The final fundraising total far exceeded our

expectations.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this evening possible,

especially to the band Junction 18 for providing the perfect sound, to our generous

auction donors, and to our dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the

scenes. Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended, bought auction lots

or simply donated. Your support helps our campaign for Newbridge Community Hub

to retain the Weston Methodist Church building for all in our community.
